YOUR GUIDE TO CLIMBING MOUNT COOLUM
Endless views
On the Sunshine Coast of QLD Australia is Mount Coolum. This is an isolated volcanic dome that is nestled in Mount Coolum National Park. Few sights are as breathtaking as the scenery along the walking trail and at the crown. After a person reaches the 208 metre summit, he or she will agree that it was worth the effort to view the spectacular overlook.

Where Do You Begin?
Visitors may enter Mount Coolum National Park at the corner of TANAH STREET EAST AND JARNAHILL DRIVE.

Is the Walk Difficult?
Most people can enjoy the walk along Mount Coolum. It is one of the simplest paths on the Sunshine Coast. Families with young children and elderly loved ones should have little trouble along the way.

What to Expect at the Top
When you reach the top of Mount Coolum, you will be greeted by a gorgeous 360 degree view of the Sunshine Coast. On one side, you will be treated to the sights of the coastline and sandy beaches that extend from Moreton Island to Double Island Point.

Also, you'll enjoy the picturesque beauty of the cane fields and wetlands encompassing the Maroochy River Valley. On the other side, you will feel as though you have been placed into a picture frame that is filled with hills and valleys.

You'll want to skip and frolic through the greenery. It will be hard to choose your favorite spot.

How Long Will it Take to Reach the Top?
The walk to the top of Mount Coolum is 800 metres long. Depending on how fast you travel, it should take no longer than one hour to reach the top and return to the bottom.

Runners may be capable of completing the trail in 20 minutes. However, remember to schedule time to appreciate the delightful views at the top.
